About Tutoring

Tutoring Services central location is within the Learning Commons, but we actually provide services across both campuses and online. Embedded Department Tutoring allows students to get assistance convenient to academic department locations and SmarThinking's online tutoring provides extensive night and weekend coverage. We offer subject tutoring as well as study skills assistance for all currently registered students in a friendly, welcoming environment. Group study space and individual rooms for quiet study are also available.

Tutoring by Appointment

Tutoring by appointment is now available!

Worm sitting on a Book illustrationOur new scheduling policy will create a limited number of 30 minute tutoring appointments for some subjects as well as writing. If you are interested in scheduling a session, please see the front desk.

The drop-in schedule will remain the same!

WISH Workshops

WISH (Workshops In Studying Here at SMCC) are half hour workshops on college success and study skills. This semester we're trying something new and holding face-to-face WISH workshops by appointment only.

They'll still take a half hour and they'll still cover the success skills you're hoping to learn - they just won't be happening as "drop-ins." If you would like to schedule a WISH consultation for yourself, or even a small study group, please see the Tutoring Front Desk or call 741-5535.
